Working with one of the UK’s leading Damp Proofing Companies.
580% Increase in Form Submits. These are our three-month results for our ongoing client Kenwood PLC.
Crucible was brought on board in February 2026, inheriting a site that had been badly damaged by years of poor SEO practice from the previous agency. Keyword stuffing, thin content, and location spam pages had been used extensively across the site, exactly the tactics that Google’s spam updates were designed to penalise, and penalise they did.
Rankings had slipped, organic visibility was declining, and the business was receiving low-quality traffic that simply wasn’t converting.
We started with the fundamentals. 469 meta titles and descriptions rewritten. 21 service pages rebuilt from scratch. 108 high-severity on-page issues cleared to zero. Site health improved to 91%.
The results speak for themselves in revenue-linked outcomes. Survey bookings from organic search went from 3 to 23 in the same period last year. Form submits up 580%.
Foundations
In the first three months, Crucible worked through a significant backlog of technical, content, and structural issues that had accumulated, problems that were actively suppressing the site’s ability to rank and convert.
On the technical side, 440 pages were improved across the priority log, 108 high-severity pages were cleared to zero, and the overall issue score was reduced by 55%, from an average of 39.8 down to 18.0. All broken pages were resolved and AI search health was brought to 83% with all bots unblocked.
Strategically, 469 of 471 pages were given fully rewritten meta titles and descriptions, ensuring every page now appears in search results with optimised, keyword-relevant copy. A trust signals audit was completed against PCA and EEAT standards, and 318 keywords were tracked and mapped to give the content programme clear direction.
On the content side, 21 service pages were completely rewritten to remove keyword stuffing and add genuine expertise signals. Nine new blog posts were published targeting high-intent search terms. The results of that content work are already visible, one new blog went from 18 impressions to 2,427 in a single period.
Supporting Kenwood
The keyword ranking improvements tell an equally strong story. “Damp proofing,” the core commercial term for the business, moved from position 34 to position 11 in three months, a gain of 23 places on a keyword with 6,600 monthly searches. “Damp specialist” moved from position 13 to position 2. “Damp proofing company” went from position 23 to position 1.
These are not peripheral terms. These are the searches made by homeowners actively looking to book a damp specialist and Kenwood is now appearing at the top of those results where it wasn’t before.
83 keywords significantly improved across the tracked set of 318. 18 terms moved into the top 3 that weren’t there in March. The commercial clusters are moving in the right direction, and with peak season approaching in late summer and autumn, the timing of that recovery couldn’t be better placed.
A Trusted Digital Partner for Construction & Property Websites
What makes these results particularly significant is context. Kenwood came to Crucible with a site that was actively being penalised, not one starting from scratch. Reversing that damage, clearing the technical backlog, and driving measurable increases in survey bookings in three months reflects what’s possible when sector expertise is applied properly.
