Partnering with a Leading Estate Agent
Providing website support and management for leading estate agent Beresfords has been one of the highlights of Crucible’s digital strategy work over the last two years. After successfully completing the website build for commercial property surveyors and agents Whybrow, Crucible was appointed as the preferred support partner for the wider Beresfords Group and its portfolio of six websites.
This marked the start of an ongoing partnership where Crucible has been responsible not only for technical support, but also for enhancing user experience, ensuring system integrations run smoothly, and facilitating SEO improvements across the group’s online presence.
Taking on Legacy Websites and Modernising Them
Supporting and managing websites not originally built by Crucible was a challenge that required adaptability and technical expertise. Our team carefully reviewed each site, identified legacy issues, and began modernising the platforms to ensure long-term stability.
The goal was to respect the successes that the Beresfords Group had already achieved internally while giving each site the benefit of Crucible’s digital expertise – covering everything from performance enhancements and usability improvements to more robust integrations.
Supporting Beresfords
The most prominent project within this partnership has been Beresfords.co.uk, a recently relaunched version of the group’s main estate agency website. This platform had been rebuilt with a fully embedded integration of the property portal Reapit, which drives the property feed.
Crucially, the website itself does not house property data – instead, it relies on continuous synchronisation with the external Reapit system. This required Crucible to manage an advanced WordPress API integration, ensuring the business-critical feed remained accurate, stable, and secure.
Since taking on support for Beresfords.co.uk, our team has introduced numerous improvements, including:
- Enhancements to search functionality for faster and more accurate property browsing
- Technical improvements to performance and speed site-wide
- UI and UX refinements to create a smoother customer journey
- Content and SEO optimisation to improve visibility and attract organic traffic
These enhancements have not only supported the technical upkeep of the site but also contributed to Beresfords’ strong performance in an increasingly competitive property market.
